Settings Reference
A guide to every setting in Yako.
General
- Language — Yako supports 42 languages. Changes apply to the entire interface.
- Dark mode — System (follows OS), Enable, Disable, or Auto (based on time of day).
- Tab favicon — Custom URL for the browser tab icon.
- Tab title — Custom text for the browser tab title.
Backgrounds
- Type — Choose between solid color, local files, or local videos.
- Blur — Adjusts the blur intensity on the background (0-25).
- Brightness — Adjusts the brightness of the background (0-1).
Quick Links
- Toggle — Show or hide the quick links widget.
- Style — Large, medium, small, inline, or text.
- Links per row — Number of links displayed per row.
- Open in new tab — Whether clicks open in the current or a new tab.
- Show titles — Toggle link title text below icons.
- Show backgrounds — Toggle the background behind link icons.
Clock
- Style — Digital or analog.
- Show seconds — Display seconds on the clock.
- 12-hour format — Switch between 12 and 24 hour display.
- Size — Adjust the clock size.
- Timezone — Override the default timezone.
- World clocks — Add clocks for additional time zones.
Greetings
- Name — Your name for personalized greetings.
Notes
- Toggle — Show or hide the notes widget.
- Alignment — Left, center, or right.
- Width — Adjust the note widget width.
- Background opacity — Transparency of the note background.
Page Layout
- Page width — Maximum width of the page content.
- Page gap — Spacing between widgets.
- Layout editor — Drag and rearrange widgets on the page.
Custom CSS
A full CSS editor with syntax highlighting. Your CSS is applied on top of the default styles. See CSS Snippets for examples.
Settings Management
- Export — Download your settings as a JSON file.
- Import — Load settings from a JSON file.
- Copy — Copy settings JSON to clipboard.
- Reset — Reset all settings to defaults.
